Congo Update

I leave for Congo this coming Tuesday for a week (22-29th April). Noella called from Congo and told me to prepare for 5 day of services. I thought she said 5 services but she corrected me and told me it will be 5 days of services. That means I will be ministering several times each day! So many are praying and many of our friends and supporters has contributed financially to this trip - THANK YOU! Please continue to pray for me - I am trusting the Lord for a mighty spiritual renewal for His people. My specific prayer requests:
1. Safe flights especially the one from Entebbe to Butembo and back.
2. Mighty outpouring of the Holy Spirit in every service and meetinga.
3. Good health and protection. Beni is known as a malaria area but I have decided against taking
preventive medication. The reason is that they can have nasty side effects and will affect my
ministry time. I am taking lots of insect repellant with me. Pray for divine health and strength
4. Pray for Tony and the girls - all three of them have very full and busy schedule and will have
to have additional chores while I am gone.

Thank you for praying and standing with me. I know I will have great reports after my trip!

The Secrets of a Pastor's Marriage

Recently I posted a picture of myself and a beautiful bouquet of flowers,,,,It was one of those special moments in our marriage. I had been feeling pressured with an unending to do list and preparing for a missions trip. I was sharing with Tony how stressed I was before leaving to have a quick dinner with Vickie. When I returned home, Tony suprised me with this beautiful bouquet. He just wanted to bless and encourage me.  Yes, he's sweet and thoughtful and let me just put it out there once and for all, HE IS ALL MINE :) I was surprised by the number of people who liked the post. I suppose many are "curious" what a pastor's marriage look like...is it perfect? Is it easier because both of us are pastors? Vickie in Elsamere and Crescent Island (CFS)

While we face many challenges here in the missions field, we also reap many blessings. One of the biggest blessing to us is the great school that the girls attend : Rosslyn Academy. It started many years ago as a missionary school to cater for the needs of the missionaries' kids. The school has since grown and it is now one of the best schools here in Nairobi. We are very grateful for the quality education that our girls are getting. One of the highlight of the school year is CFS (Cultural Field Studies). The kids get to camp out someplace in the country to learn more about the country they live in. This year, the 7th graders went to Elsamere Park and Crescent Island. You can tell from the photos that they had a great time! They visited a local school and played soccer with the kids. Sports is such great way for kids to get together! These are dung critters..having a feast, I suppose....eewwwww... Miss Gac, she's a great teacher and Vickie loves her! She taught Kathryn...
