I had a wonderful time speaking at the WOW (Widows and Orphans of the World) conference last week. Before I go to that, let me finish with the pics of Mt Kenya....

These are Rock Hyraxes and they are supposedly distant relatives of the elephants!! I think, if they are truly related to the elephants, it must be quite a distant away :-))

There is a brick wall with the names of the donors to the orphanage...this is not our Kathryn's brick but she thought it was cool to take a pic of it anyways!
I love the expression of Kathryn's face in this picture. She suddenly look like her two year old self from so long ago...sweet and oh so adorable!!!

  Turning 60: Reflections on a New Season I was having lunch with a friend yesterday and found myself talking about my 60th birthday. I’m not usually one to make a big deal about birthdays—but as I approached this milestone, I found myself reflecting a little more deeply. Sixty feels… different. Special, even. One birthday message on Facebook welcomed me to the “Senior Club.” Apparently, turning 60 bumps you into a whole new age bracket. What does that mean? Well, for starters, higher insurance premiums—got that notice earlier this year! But beyond the paperwork, it feels like a shift. This is the beginning of a new season. Some call it the “final” season of life—but I’ve decided to see it as a privileged one. Because now, at 60, I’m the youngest in this new demographic! There are perks too—senior discounts at movie theaters, restaurants, parks, museums. Priority seating on trains and planes. Glad Tidings Klang

We drove to Klang, about 40 minutes from Kuala Lumpur to Glad Tidings, one of our supporting churches for their Youth Concurent Service. They have over 100 young and energetic people worshipping the Lord - we were so excited to be invited to minister to such a dynamic group of young people. The very energetic worship team. They did an excellent job in the worship service. Tony preached on birthing God's divine destiny and the congregation responded to the Word. Many came for the altar to be prayed for and some stayed after the service to talk to us. Tony and his mom at a restaurant. Our very cute niece, Anna, with RM 1.00! She was fussing in a car ride so we gave her RM1 (or about 0.30 cents in USD) to pacify her...judging from her expression, I don't think it worked :-) The girls with the Silver Surfer, a character from a sci-fic movie at a mall.
