Surgery

We woke up early Monday morning at 6 am to drive to Putrajaya Hospital for Tony's surgery. He needed a lump removed from his back- it is a benign growth but was getting bigger and the doctor thought best to remove it while we are here in Malaysia. The surgery took about one hour, he chose not to go under, so they did it with local anesthetic. The surgery went well and we were home by midday. However, his gauze was soaked in blood by the evening, so we called the doctor and he told us to have the dressing re-done. We were up again the next morning (the hospital is about a one hour drive), the doctor cleaned his wound again and redressed the wound but this time with a lot more gauze, so Tony has a hump now on his back....like a camel...well, not really! I would have to convince him to let me take a picture so you all can see!

All is well with him, we have to return Friday to the doctor, and I think that would be the final visit. The Lord is good and faithful to put all these together for us, meeting the nice doctor in one of the services we preached in, having it all arranged so quickly despite the fact that it is a public Hospital and the quene for Tony's procedure would be long one, as a minor surgery, and since it is a public hospital it only cost us a GRAND TOTAL of RM23 or USD 7.00 only!! Isn't health care in Malaysia wonderful!! The doctor told us that just the medication he prescribed to Tony is already a lot more than that!

God is good!

Thanks Raymond. Tony is doing really well - he hasn't complain of any pain at all even from day one and has been driving, eating, playing,goofing around with the girls and preaching as normal. PTL!

A clean bill of Health!

We have been busy with different appointments.....the girls got their vaccination, Tony and I had a general checkup - cholesterol, blood sugar, blood pressure and several other health issues checked. We are basically healthy. Tony needs to have a minor surgical procedure (on his back) which we still have to work on - finding the surgeon,etc. We also went to the dentist today and the girls and I have NO cavities!!!!! The dentist did some cleaning for us but Tony did have to have a filling done. All in all, the Phangs are in pretty good health - Praise the Lord!! We are also so grateful to our doctor and dentist for giving us their services so lovingly and generously- we are so bless! Another friend (we kinda met on this blog:-) got us rooms in a hotel in Penang, a holiday island- kind of! Woohoo!!!! Getting Ready for yet another trip!

Before I forget, I wanted the friends who have left comments on this blog to know that I read your comments as they are automatically sent to my email address. I tried replying to the address in the emails but it doens't get to you - it just redirects me to this blog again. Anyways, I want you to know that I appreciate the comments- tells me someone is reading what I am writing - I wonder sometimes!! Ok, two evenings ago I had another invite to join an evangelist to Goma, also in DRC. They are doing a crusade there- I cannot tell you how much I want to join them but I can't - not this time anyways. We are in the midst of preparing to return to Malaysia for two months to reconnect with churches and friends who supports our work here and also to give our report.
