Sorry for the lack of posting and pics....we have been keeping busy - good busy! Last Sunday, Tony and I preached in two different churches. The girls and Tony's mom went with Tony and I went alone to a new church I haven't been before but the pastors are our friends. Both our services went well. Tony preached at Tabernacle of David, the church I grew up in. Pastor Swan took an offering for our family and specifically told Tony that half goes to the girls for their shopping! The girls were so excited!!! They were supposed to pick me up from a mall but instead of just picking me up, we went shopping. Vickie blew almost her whole share on her dream digital camera - a really nice slim lime green (her favorite color of the moment!) one. Kathryn told us that she will put part of her money, almost half of it, towards the laptop that we need to buy to replace the one that had died on us earlier (our poor Compaq) so that she can have the laptop!! What do you think?? Good offer??? Maybe.....these girls are outsmarting us daily :-)
Tony continues to heal well, we got his wound dressed on Friday, everything looks good and he lost his "hump". Just a thin gauze with waterproof bandaid - although a giant one at that!
This week was filled with meals catching up with friends - we had our share of mooncake (can't describe it except that it is a sweet pastry but you can google it:-).. shark fin's soup (yikes!! google this as well if you don't know what this is!), and all the yummy stuff.
Yesterday I preached in a Young Adult Service at Glad Tidings, PJ and we cannot believe that they were so many Africans in the congregation. I will post pictures later. Most of them are from Botswana, but they were also a few from Kenya. Their presence made us feel so at home in that church!! We will be preaching three services today. It is going to be a pretty full day!! Pray for us!
I will post some pics before we leave for a two day vacation to Genting - a theme park resort on a highlands here. The girls are SO looking forward to this - cool weather and crazy rides!! We will be celebrating Kathryn's birthday (21 July) there.
