So for now, we have plenty of eggs and unripe avocados:-)
By the way, last night I worked over an hour on this blog, which I lost, and had to redo today because we have been having problems with the router. If you don't hear from us for a few days, don't panic...its probably internet problems...
On the more serious note, both the goverment and the opposition remained deadlocked in their positions. There is a lot of international pressures on both parties. Most of all, we must pray. We hear on the news, like you do possibly, that over 70,000 people are displaced.
Yesterday, my househelp came and worked half day. I gave her some money to stock up on food for her and her three children. She is being harassed as she is renting a small room in a Kikuyu area. She is Luo. Several of our grounds staff has also been given eviction notice by their kikuyu landlords. This is unbelieveable to me. It reminds me of the genocide of Rwanda - how peaceful countries can changed seemingly overnight. We must pray against this in Jesus' name.
We are still good although running low in cash, we didn't get any money from the machines yesterday and I think today everyone is staying close to home...
My eyes are constantly breaming with tears for this nation....pray with us!
