We arrived in Nairobi on Sunday 10th late afternoon. We were so tired but glad to be home. All
our suitcases came in quickly and everything were intact! Praise God! When we got home, Tony found our car battery to be totally flat, it was a good thing a mechanic was on the compound fixing one of our neighbor's car. The mechanic had to remove the battery from our neighbor's car and put it into our car to get it started and then replace our old battery back into our car to get it charged...after about an hour, the car was fine. I was so hyper by then, I started unpacking and believe it or not, I unpacked all SEVEN suitcases that evening!!!! Today, I am still sorting things out and finally got all the cables sorted out...so here's some pictures to share and they may not be in any particular order! sorry....
This is a picture of our "second home" - Mid Valley Mega Mall! We were there at least three times a week - no, not always shopping but it's a central place for us to meet with friends and family and of course, shopping in between meetings!! The giant candle sticks were part of a Home Expo that was there during our last visit to this mall.
We met with Tony's mom and sister for a last meal before we fly out. While we were visiting (mostly in Cantonese and Hakka - chinese dialects that we speak), Vickie entertained herself with designs made with silly putty!!!

This group of kids are from Korea. They were presenting a song during the Community Baptist Church (CBC) 34th Anniversary where Tony preached. The leader of the group shared how this ministry is discipling young children for evangelism and missions! Awesome!!

A brother from Myammar giving a song special. The church collected an offering that morning to build a school for the children of Myammar who were displaced as a result of the typhoon that devastated their homes. Later at lunch with Pas Richard and his wife, Pat, they received a call from their church that the offering was above and beyond what they needed for the project! Ps Richard has a real heart for missions and his church is very involved in missions. This is the first time we got to know them and really appreciate their ministry.

Steamboat!! For those of you who don't know what this is....we have a hotpot in a middle of a table and then we keep dumping yummy stuff into the soup and when it's cooked, we scoop up what we want and then we add more food to the pot for round two! It's a super fun way to eat and visit. At the end of the meal, the soup is so very delicious. Can you spot the kung fu panda fishball in the steamboat? Vickie is a HUGE Kung Fu Panda fan...

Edison (my brother in law) and my sister, Shiryne, is such a blessing to us - letting us stay at their house, feeding us, taking care of the girls when we have to be out, etc. In fact, we are so grateful for our families....they help and support us in so many ways. On the night where we have to drive to the airport late at night, my other sister, Sally, stayed with Anna and didn't get home till after midnight or close to midnight. My oldest sister did so much shopping for us.....we are so blessed...
Looks like Cookie Monster is excited to make his first trip to Nairobi with us :-)

Thanks for keeping us, your faithful followers, updated with the awesome photos and your fun and captivating writing. I look forward to your new postings almost daily. Since my mom still lives fairly close to the Mega Mall, that was our hangout too when we visited 1-1/2 years ago. Wow, I didn't realize how much I miss K.L. until reading your blogs. Also, I agree with you that Malaysia itself is a missions field waiting for seed sowing and harvesting. Thank you so much again for your postings. Blessings! - RY
