Soap making

In one of our Ladies Fellowship, two of students showed the rest of us how to make liquid soap. They bought a Soap Making Kit for 700 Ksh (about US10) and it made over 20 litres of liquid soap. We are paying about USD2 for 500ml at the store. We thought teaching the ladies a skill like that can help supplement their income. Some of these ladies are also ministers and pastors as well and they can teach the widows or members of their congregation how to make this liquid soap and help them sell it to generate a small income.

Mixing the ingredients...it's actually harder than it looks...takes quite a bit of elbow grease to get the chemicals well mixed.

I bet you never thought a baggie liquid soap can make the ladies smile so big!!

  Turning 60: Reflections on a New Season I was having lunch with a friend yesterday and found myself talking about my 60th birthday. I’m not usually one to make a big deal about birthdays—but as I approached this milestone, I found myself reflecting a little more deeply. Sixty feels… different. Special, even. One birthday message on Facebook welcomed me to the “Senior Club.” Apparently, turning 60 bumps you into a whole new age bracket. What does that mean? Glad Tidings Klang

We drove to Klang, about 40 minutes from Kuala Lumpur to Glad Tidings, one of our supporting churches for their Youth Concurent Service. They have over 100 young and energetic people worshipping the Lord - we were so excited to be invited to minister to such a dynamic group of young people. The very energetic worship team. They did an excellent job in the worship service. Tony preached on birthing God's divine destiny and the congregation responded to the Word. Many came for the altar to be prayed for and some stayed after the service to talk to us. Tony and his mom at a restaurant. Our very cute niece, Anna, with RM 1.00!
