Happy Father's Day to all of you out there! The girls greeted their daddy with cards this morning. I will post pictures of the cute cards sometime today, I think! Last evening, we ministered at the blind fellowship near the YMCA. There were about 30 people, and they played the piano, drums, tambourines and the worship service was fantastic! There was such a real presence of God. I ministered and after the Word, Tony and I prayed for them individually. We so enjoyed ourselves - it was a great service. The Lord spoke to me during the worship service. He touched me during the very start of the service when they started singing and I had tears streaming down my face. Then I felt the Lord say to me that the tears are an expression of His compassion upon the needy and that to minister to them, I must continually remain broken before Him. After the service, the group gave us a tremendously generous offering that we never expected. This morning we received an email from a student pastor in Kenya with an urgent financial need.....the Lord continues to proof Himself faithful in miraculous ways!
I am staying home this morning with Kat. Tony and Vickie left for church a while ago. Kathryn has been struggling with allergies since we got here about two weeks ago. It has recently developed into a nasty cough/cold and she's miserable. She told me yesterday that she wants to go "home" (Kenya!). Poor girl! I think she looks better today and hopefully she will be well enough soon to keep up with our crazy schedule.
Do please pray for her when the Lord brings her to mind.
These last two weeks, we have been so overwhelmed by the kindness and the generosity of so many people. Our own family members continue to bless us in so many ways. Friends came forward to loan us their cars. We had one for 10 days and another one was made available to us before we had to return the first one! Both cars are very nice ones too! A friend took us book shopping and paid for the Sunday School DVD that Kathryn bought for her little SS class in Nairobi. Friends invited us out for meals. We are so humbled by the kindness of so many! This has really bless and encourage us...Thank you so much, all of you!
